From the very beginning, Connor took a genuinely personalized approach to working with me. He made sure to listen carefully to all of my thoughts and ideas before suggesting what he felt would be the best strategy for my applications. One of the most helpful things we created together was a “story matrix,” where we mapped out my past experiences and matched them to specific essays for each of the five universities I was applying to. This was honestly such a genius idea because it gave me so much clarity on what stories I could tell and where they would fit best. We even came up with backup stories in case, while writing the first draft if I felt that a different experience worked better. Connor’s feedback throughout the drafting process was incredibly valuable. He helped me level up every essay while still making sure they sounded like me and reflected my real personality, rather than feeling overly polished or generic. We worked together over several months for around 20 hours in total, and throughout the entire process, he was incredibly accommodating with every request. When I met with Raha, I had been unsuccessful at finding the person who would be as excited as I was about why I am going to law school. Admission experts advised I set a reasonable expectation. I was a splitter. As a non-traditional applicant, however, I believed my story would merit serious consideration if I owned my narrative and law schools actually reviewed holistically. I believed law schools did. Raha approached the early foundational sessions, “Who is David?”, with curiosity and asked thoughtful questions to understand where I was coming from. Through her articulation of the life I lived—systems-thinker seeking harmony—I felt invigorated to portray that in my writing. My early drafts, however, often curated to what I thought law schools would want to hear. I would highlight one aspect while removing others, which then led me to revise another. In those times, she pushed back and reminded me to stay close to my narrative backbone. Amidst self-doubt, I realized I needed someone who not only would proofread, but also hold me to a standard. As a result, I told my story. In any cycle, law schools want to hear from you, and you need to make yourself heard. But because life experience is often complex, you need to be strategic about what you choose to highlight—and Raha is as strategic a coach as she is an authentic person. I’m headed to a T10 law school. But this success is merely the cherry on top to a much weightier lesson I internalized through Raha’s coaching—stay true to yourself—a lesson I hope readers will take with them as well.

David is an absolute gem who has significantly altered the trajectory of my professional life. I screened several coaches before choosing him, even at a much higher price point, and knew right away that he genuinely feels compelled to help people, which shot through others' disconnected optimism. I could trust my gut with David in a way that was far more important in my application process than any pedigree or word salad another coach had to offer. I could tell he actually wanted to get to know who I was, which enabled us to dig deep to discover my potential and align it with what actually works for these programs. I came to him 2-3 weeks before the deadlines for top deferred MBA programs, completely desperate and unconfident because my background made no sense at first (profile: over-represented majority, attended multiple undergrads, faced severe mental health challenges, had no experience at known companies, no full-time job lined up, and test scores barely on the threshold). Under an incredible time crunch, he helped me craft the many, many sides of my life I had no way of seeing on my own that demonstrated my growth through college, portraying me as a high-potential candidate with many unique attributes to offer these schools. All I saw was someone who was desperately trying to graduate, and I could not see a single thread through any of it. As it turns out, all of the experiences I belittled in my mind were exactly the things that David would drill down on to really uncover the truth about - my core narratives that made me desirable to these programs. I would never have been able to do it without someone who genuinely cared to learn about me. To my absolute amazement, I received my first interview invite from Columbia. David then, once again, trained me into an absolute interview weapon - arming me with skills and a genuine understanding of my stories and fit for these programs that I completely lacked before working with him, gaining confidence from him, and becoming more comfortable in my own skin. I am ultimately walking away committed to Kellogg, along with an acceptance to Haas, and I could not be more grateful.

Felt incredibly supported and guided throughout the entire process. From recommendation prep packets, to essay brainstorming and revising, to interview prep, Andy was truly there every step of the way. He provided constructive feedback, which may have been difficult to hear at times (but was much needed) and was consistently the greatest cheerleader and coach anyone could ask for.
