If you're unsure about hiring Kelly as your counselor, take my word when I say: just do it. I had a 3.8 GPA (bottom 20% of Berkeley admits) and was applying for the single most impacted major at UC Berkeley, but I had motivation and a talent in writing. Kelly helped me channel that drive into my college essays and seriously gave me the confidence to submit the best I could to UC and the ivies. As a result, I got into Berkeley Haas GMP (1%), USC (9%), and got on the waitlists for Dartmouth and UChicago. Other counselors told me, "don't bother." Kelly did more than that, and it got me into my dream schools. Thank you Kelly, and to anybody reading this who's on the fence, again: just do it.

I had an excellent experience working with Geri and would highly recommend her! Geri has a talent for finding the most compelling thread throughout your story and helping you highlight that, starting right from the brainstorming phase. She asks thoughtful questions to draw out aspects of your story you might not otherwise think to include, and helps you think about your own experience in a different way. I also really appreciate Geri’s honesty – an invaluable quality in a coach. She does not hesitate to tell you if an idea is muddy or a sentence is confusing, and she will talk through and iterate with you until your ideas reach their clearest, most precise form. Geri’s feedback was specific, thoughtful, and structured. The essay word counts leave no room for fluff, and Geri helped me ensure every word was pulling its weight. Geri’s mock interviews were also very similar to the real thing, both in structure and content. Her questions were deep, included several follow-ups, and helped me feel confident going into the actual interview. Geri’s guidance throughout this entire process was invaluable, and her expertise showed throughout every step. She is kind, approachable, and all-around amazing to work with. I highly recommend her.
