What stood out most was how adept he was at reading exactly what to test me on. He had a strong sense of which skills needed sharpening in the moment, whether that was exhibit analysis, structuring, or math under pressure. He has a strong grasp of the fundamentals of casing, and he always knew exactly what to suggest to improve, down to the specific actions I needed to take, rather than vague or general advice. His case repertoire reflected years of real casing experience, and his suggestions for improving specific skills were always targeted and actionable, never generic. Karthik's delivery was highly professional throughout. He would walk me through sample responses so I could hear what strong, consulting-style language actually sounds like, which helped me adapt my own communication in a way that felt authentic rather than scripted. He also dedicated a full session to behavioral interviewing, giving me specific, honest feedback on where I could improve, feedback that made a real difference heading into my final round. Karthik was available and prompt with scheduling throughout, we typically met on weekday evenings, and he was consistently easy to coordinate with. Beyond the technical coaching, Karthik is simply a wonderful person to have in your corner, someone you genuinely want to get to know beyond just the prep! He managed to make a stressful process feel encouraging, even fun at times, without ever losing the rigor of the prep itself. From the very beginning, Connor took a genuinely personalized approach to working with me. He made sure to listen carefully to all of my thoughts and ideas before suggesting what he felt would be the best strategy for my applications. One of the most helpful things we created together was a “story matrix,” where we mapped out my past experiences and matched them to specific essays for each of the five universities I was applying to. This was honestly such a genius idea because it gave me so much clarity on what stories I could tell and where they would fit best. We even came up with backup stories in case, while writing the first draft if I felt that a different experience worked better. Connor’s feedback throughout the drafting process was incredibly valuable. He helped me level up every essay while still making sure they sounded like me and reflected my real personality, rather than feeling overly polished or generic. We worked together over several months for around 20 hours in total, and throughout the entire process, he was incredibly accommodating with every request.
