I really appreciated Randy’s session on how AI has changed the hiring process. It honestly made me feel a lot less alone in the current job market. You are NOT ALONE if you’ve been searching for over a year and aren’t getting the interviews or opportunities you used to, even with strong qualifications. One of my biggest takeaways was realizing that the lack of traction many of us are experiencing isn’t just personal. The hiring landscape has shifted. With AI tools making it easy to tailor resumes to match job descriptions, many candidates now appear equally qualified on paper. That makes it much harder to stand out. Randy explained how job searching is becoming less of a numbers game and more about positioning. That includes stronger storytelling, better interview conversations, and more intentional outreach that leads to internal referrals. He also shared thoughtful personal insights and answered questions, which made the session feel approachable and practical. During job hunting I've been having to answer 'Why you/Why this organisation?' type of questions a lot lately, and it was really helpful to get a grounding in my sense of my values and how or why they drive my choices. You have to know who you are and what you think is important in order to convey it to someone else so the authenticity workshop is a great primer for crafting your answer to 'why you?'. Kristen really projected that authentic sense of self and kept this process engaging throughout so highly recommend her take on this!
