Tara is an incredible mentor. She listens to your goals, provides exercises to do the work, and gives feedback that only someone experienced in the field would be able to provide. I cannot recommend Lajoie enough! I came to her stuck in a front-end dev role that I'd completely outgrown, with a business idea I was too in my head to act on. She helped me realize what was really going on — which wasn't fear, it was just that I'd never built a life around my new values before and I didn't know where to start. Jake has tremendous knowledge from his experience and is able to share it in a way where it is easily understandable. This is a huge plus when you are trying to learn complex algorithms and methodologies as he is able to explain it in a way which is easily digestible and you can actually understand it without having to memorize it.
