Excellent communicator and strategist! All around fun guy :)

I came to know Max first after he volunteered to help me prepare for MBB consulting interviews our senior year in college. At the time, I was very much the Karate Kid and Max was Mr. Miyagi. Now after years of exposure to Max in professional and civic leadership environments, I confidently acclaim Max as a wise and proven sensei. In college, what stood out immediately was not just that he knew how to prep for interviews. It was his thoughtful approach and ability to get to know me, break down concerns, highlight strengths, and lend council on questions I sometimes didn’t even know I had. He pushed me to think more clearly, to understand my own strengths, and to articulate them with confidence. Our sessions were not just tactical drills. They were part interview prep, part life philosophy, part self-discovery. He did not just fix my answers. He taught me how to think. He did not just hand me frameworks. Max was admirable and well loved on the team. As he learned, he taught. He focused on fundamentals and repeatable problem-solving processes that made me and everyone around him better. He elevated the team not by showing how smart he was, but by raising the level of thinking in the room. As a leader, he is inspirational, thoughtful, and fun to work with, while also being deeply loyal, grounded, and collaborative. His breadth and depth of experience, combined with his energy and genuine care for people, distinguish him even among high-performing McKinsey peers. After years as a McKinsey consultant and now as a venture investor, I still place Max among the most distinctive, influential, and kind mentors and friends I have ever had. I recommend him without hesitation.

I met Charlie socially and while he never actually coached me formally has inadvertently been a great career guide over the last few years.
