I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Alex for their unwavering support over the past six months with my business school applications. Their guidance was instrumental in securing my admission to The Wharton School, complete with a generous fellowship. When I first reached out in July 2025, I had less than six weeks before the Round 1 deadlines. Although I had already taken the GMAT and given some thought to other components of my application, my demanding role at XXX consulting firm left me with little time to put pen to paper. To meet the Round 1 deadlines, I required two key things: a structured approach to the application process with clear milestones and deadlines, and expert advice to rigorously review my written materials. I worked with Alex to prepare for my Stanford GSB interview and strongly believe that I would not have been admitted without his guidance. He is thoughtful, came prepared with a structured agenda for our mock interview and pushed me on a number of topics which I think prepared me really well for the actual interview. Alex also followed-up with me after decisions were released and helped me think through which school to attend which I really appreciated. I worked with Emilie on my deferred MBA applications to fine tune them before submission. She was a simply wonderful coach and I have the highest praise for her. She spotted things in my application essays that I had missed or was unaware of and provided structured feedback that helped me revise and take the essays to a much higher level of quality and depth. Not only that, knowing that I had tight deadlines, she worked quickly to provide her reviews efficiently, so I could complete things well in time. Before starting each application, she would give me an idea of how to breakdown the hours/time, so that I could achieve my goals. She also arranged calls during which we discussed my application, her feedback, and how to implement it to improve my essays. On a personal level, I found her extremely kind. With her help, I felt very confident that I had submitted my best possible work and am really grateful that I reached out to her on the Leland platform. Will was incredibly helpful throughout my interview prep. He asked thoughtful follow-up questions that pushed me to clarify my stories and communicate more confidently. I recently had the opportunity to attend one of Faisal's events on how to successfully write a compelling MBA school essay. He shared in-depth tips and personal experience on MBA questions used in prior years from Haas, Booth, and HBS — this was super helpful to me, because it gave me real insight into questions used, and how successful students were able to answer those questions, while relating to their own values and goals. Faisal encouraged us to be honest and craft our essays around our true values and what is important to us, and how an MBA will help in our individual career goals. He also answered any and all questions asked of him from the chat with professionalism, conciseness, and expert-level knowledge of the MBA admissions domain. Thank you Faisal for hosting this event!
