Having been one of Ben's most enthusiastic LinkedIn stalkers for years prior, I was finally emboldened to message him. Meeting Ben affirmed why I myself had aspired to attend GSB: students and alumni who are n-of-1. Ben cares deeply about authenticity and truth-seeking—it's evident in all contexts. His response to my acceptance made my own parents' look apathetic. He knows where to shine light, where to push harder, where the extra hours change decisions. Ben is not only a masterful writer—I'd trust him with my wedding vows, my wikipedia page, or my eulogy—but a partner to help stomach self-provoking a trial by committee. He's a rare personality in that he is both exceedingly brilliant and humble, which disarms while encouraging excellence. Alex helped me craft a resume that got me into several M7 schools. His attention to detail and genuine care was unmatched. Where to start? Andy not only helps you with your application process but he makes you believe in yourself in the process. I had applied the year prior to meeting Andy and had been rejected almost everywhere. I felt lost, had lost some hope, but decided to meet Andy and see if it was worth going for it again. Through our conversation, our "Therapy session", and structure we were able to fine tune my stories and create a powerful message that could help me this time around. I was worried about my GRE score (326) but he showed me and made me see that my story and experiences were the biggest thing in my life.
