Xuan is a competent mentor who has a thorough understanding of the university admissions process. I come from a less privileged background, but Xuan was able to intelligently frame a “hook“ for my application so that I could better tell my story. His feedbacks on my essays also elevated my writing a great deal. I felt more confident about my application after being mentored by Xuan. Now, I have offers from Cornell, University of Michigan, and Tsinghua! I am often touched by his sincerity in guiding me with the application process. He has given up a lot of his time in the past 9 months to tackle the process with me. We communicated via WhatsApp almost every day and he gave long, detailed replies to every question I had without being frustrated. He always has me in mind - he checks in with me and sends me useful study resources whenever I don't start the conversation (I do that sometimes because I feel bad for taking up so much of his time!). Nate has been a great coach for me on my MBA journey. From the beginning, he listened to my thoughts and reflections and helped me make my story cohesive.
