In these few months, you guided him to learn about his own strengths and personalities that were kind of vague for him in the past, to develop many ideas for his essays from a very personal level, and to show him fresh perspectives towards life and his future. I had struggled with how to support my son in the college application process without being overbearing or projecting my own biases into his process. I had done a bunch of research and had a decent college list but the variations (in-state/out-of-state, SAT/no-SAT, early/regular decision, essays) were dizzying. I turned the reins over my son and Audrey. They did the research, selected colleges and majors, planned the application schedule, etcetera. He diligently worked through the essays and revisions that Audrey assigned. The results were remarkable; they would not have been possible without Audrey.
