I felt entirely overwhelmed with every part of the law school application process. Indrani was honest, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful through every step. In our first call, she helped me understand how to write a strong essay, and every draft I sent her was returned quickly and with excellent comments. Beyond the writing, I appreciated her answering my questions about the applications that I simply couldn't ask anyone else. So far, I have received multiple acceptances with full scholarships to schools I only dreamed about attending. I would absolutely work with Indrani again and am so grateful

Indrani will tell it to you straight. As a re-applicant, I didn’t have any insight into whether any part of my application was hurting me. On my first call with Indrani, she gave it to me straight: My personal statement was boring. One of my LORs was strong, but another one was so mediocre it could even hurt my application. I should try to get an LOR from a professor. After the call, I immediately reached out to one of my college professors and got an LOR from him. Then, Indrani helped me overhaul my personal statement to come up with a much stronger one. She also looked over my diversity statement and several “Why School X” essays, providing me with direct feedback all throughout the process (e.g., “This isn’t working,” “This is not specific enough,” “This sounds bland,” etc.). Indrani is also not shy to provide compliments when she sees something she likes (e.g., “I like this one,” “This one is ready to go,” “Nice!” etc.). Furthermore, she won’t try to fix something that isn’t broken. As an example, for my “Why Chicago Law” essay, I was specific enough that it was good to go after a revision or two. On the other hand, we worked on my “Why Berkeley Law” essay over several iterations to get the details down correctly. I don’t think you need an admissions consultant to stroke your ego. Instead, you need one to help with your application, and from my experience, Indrani can do just that. Sure, I retook the LSAT and improved slightly, but with the recent score inflation, I am not certain that was the changing factor. From 0 acceptances last year to acceptance into Columbia Law this year, I think Indrani was one of the main contributors to my successful cycle. Thanks, Indrani—I owe you one!

Applying to law school was an intimidating prospect, and I had an overwhelming number of questions and a lot of uncertainties at the start of the process. Working with Indrani Stangl made things so much easier. Indrani is deeply knowledgeable about the admissions process and clearly understands how actual admissions officers think—allowing her to give very clear and honest advice about everything from your personal statement to nitty-gritty questions you might have about your applications. I got my first acceptance from Georgetown in November (and am still waiting on others), and I couldn't have done it without Indrani's help!!

Super splitter, 2.xx GPA, a few years of work experience, re-applicant. Accepted by a T10 in a tough cycle nonetheless. No way I would have done it without the help from Indrani. Always responsive, accommodating, fast turnaround time, thorough review of application materials, marvelous suggestions on writing, and insightful knowledge of the application process. 10/10 would recommend to anyone that wants a better shot at their dream school!

As a non-traditional re-applicant, my confidence was really shaken coming into this latest cycle. I was fortunate to have gotten into a wonderful law school, but one that wasn’t a good fit for my family’s situation. Indrani assured me during our first conversation that I not only had a lot to offer but that my feelings were legitimate and that I was not alone in being frustrated with my lack of options (and being on so many waitlists!). That made a world of difference and helped give me the courage to trust my instinct and reapply. Indrani was an extremely helpful extra set of eyes to help contextualize my story. Now, I’m heading into the fall with an acceptance at a school that’s perfect for my family and for my goals. I’m so glad I made the choice I did, including working with Indrani!

Indrani helped me navigate a stressful situation (law school admissions) with an additional stressor layered on — the pandemic. Indrani made me feel both listened to and supported as we navigated both the pandemic (and its impact on the LSAT/LSAT Flex) and the application cycle overall. Her approach was calm yet candid, and she was consistently a level-headed thought partner through every step of the journey. I'd recommend Indrani to anyone applying to law school. I began my application cycle worrying that I wouldn't be able to put my best foot forward. I wasn't sure how to coalesce my experiences in a way that showed what I could offer a law school community. Indrani helped me with just that. The law school application process is stressful, and Indrani was invaluable as a person to ask questions big and small of the sort that keep many prospective law students up at night. She gave me a sense of confidence that, regardless of my outcomes, I had put forward the best that I had to offer, and it was up to the schools to choose. I didn't have to worry anymore about whether or not I had shown schools what I could do for them. I'm headed off to one of the top 4 law schools in the country, and specifically a school that I feel is by far the best fit for me, and for that I can't thank Indrani enough!

For the essays in particular, she consistently identified the most relevant and compelling parts of my ideas, while also pointing out areas where I had strayed from the central message. Having an expert present at every stage to elevate the strongest elements and trim the excess was absolutely invaluable. Now that I’ve been accepted to several of my top-choice law schools, I feel deeply indebted to Ms. Stangl.
