Nick does a great job at targeting the root causes of good performance. While many people focus on what to say or which mannerisms to use, Nick highlights that the best way to succeed in a high pressure situation is to build confidence through meaningful practice and not cutting corners. For example, some coaches will simply provide the “most common types of graphs seen in interviews” and encourage candidates to memorize responses for each. Nick worked with me to identify the type of thinking that graphs and charts require, my strengths and weaknesses with that type of thinking, and then how I could internally develop those skills to be able to answer any graph/chart question because I was capable, not because I had memorized something. Nothing can replace the confidence that comes from not cutting corners and knowing you’ve worked to develop critical thinking skills, instead of just memorizing interview “hacks and tricks.” Nick’s advice here was critical in helping me land an offer.

Jason coached me on exactly what I needed to study for my product execution and design interviews. I read Cracking the PM Interview but was still failing most of my interviews. Jason explained that the book was written over 10 years and ago and most of the info there is outdated! There is so much inaccurate info online on how to prepare for PM interviews but Jason knew what was useful and coached me on the things I needed. Ended up getting a PM internship with Microsoft that I'm not sure I would have gotten without prepping with Jason!

Working with Avi was truly the best experience I could have asked for. From our initial meeting with my family and I to the very last school I submitted an application to, he truly cared about making my college application process as smooth as possible. Avi spent many hours a week working with me in-depth by setting up a number of meetings to discuss my ideas and bring them to fruition and sitting through countless rounds of edits on my essays until we found them to be just right. He inspired me to think beyond the limits I had set for myself and truly cared about what I had to say. I will forever appreciate his ability to fit in editing my essays no matter how last minute I sent them to him. He truly made sure that I loved every piece of writing I submitted and that each essay uncovered a new and untold part of my journey. Beyond that, he valued and incorporated the perspectives that my family had to share about me.
