I attended M's "Coach & Successful Admit Walkthrough" MBA event, and it was highly informative. Both M and her partner/event co-host Jesse were clearly knowledgeable on the topic and gave a comprehensive overview of a successful MBA application process. I've attended many good quality Leland events, but this one was top tier and a true cut above the rest!

Speaking with Mike for just an hour took my application from “ok” to great. It’s clear he knows the GSB inside and out, but what really stood out was his ability to quickly identify blind spots in my application that I hadn’t seen. He didn’t just offer critique, he gave specific, actionable suggestions and feedback, like taking additional coursework, to help me strengthen weaker areas. He was thoughtful, sharp, and incredibly helpful. I’m so grateful to have connected with him, I wouldn’t be able to get where I got without Mike.

Chichi is an exceptional coach and a true ally for anyone navigating the grad school application process. She listened deeply, helped me sharpen my perspective, and challenged me to clarify what I truly want out of a master’s degree. Whether it was refining my essays or thinking through my broader goals, Chichi was a thoughtful, steady presence every step of the way.

I'm continuously amazed with each coach I meet on this platform. I don't even know what to say, lol. So, a shot-out to Leland, and Kevin P. -- thanks so much for your rotating slides. They alone were a gem, to the point, essentially providing a clear outline for our MBA app prep plan. Appreciate your time, your insights, and your grace getting through all of our questions in the chat. Thank you!

It is hard to believe that a kid who didn't even graduate in the top 50% of his high school class is getting ready to move into Stanford. The first time I ever talked to Missy I mentioned that I was worried that my rocket ship's ascent was starting to level off. A year later I can say its' pointing towards the stars with engines back to firing on all cylinders and it has the extra fuel to climb for the foreseeable future. I was initially drawn to Missy because her prior startups mission of helping people with a more severe form of a disability I have moved me to tears. Not going to lie at the time on paper there were more experienced people I could have hired but I never considered them because I could sense that Missy would care and I was right. I have been involved in hiring many people both in corporate jobs and to help me with school related things. One thing I have learned is that the most important thing to look for is do they care about what's best for you in the long run even if it means telling you something you won't like to hear in the moment. For example Missy didn't want me to be her first client to actually purchase a package instead of hourly services. I had to talk her into taking more of my money. Missy always gave me the pep talk I needed or told me the realities of the way the world works. I had quite the journey with Missy. A month in I got laid off in a mass layoff when my company canceled the project my team was working on. I next went to an early stage startup that was struggling to get off the ground. In the span of a few months I went from that situation to working at a company at the pinnacle of my field and heading to Stanford with my employer picking up the bill. Missy was a big part of that turn around.
