Despite applying to business school as a consultant, I was very much a non-traditional applicant, having had a prior career in a non-business field. I went in with little understanding of the application process, but Betsy provided guidance throughout, particularly on which of my prior experiences were most powerful in setting me apart from other applicants. Betsy was very flexible in accommodating our interactions around my busy (and ever-changing) schedule, and our different time zones never posed any issues. Throughout the application process, Betsy became a friend and someone I deeply trust. Given her extensive experience in advising applicants, she has a network of top business school admits, students and graduates that she has introduced me to. These connections helped me make the extremely tough decision between HBS and GSB, and have already opened doors to potential MBA summer internships. More than anything, Betsy has given me greater confidence in articulating my story in a way that highlights my unique experiences and strengths without sounding boastful – something that will continue to benefit me throughout business school and beyond. Overall, I could not recommend Betsy highly enough!

HBS bound speaks for itself. I came into the process fairly scattered about my goals, and through a ton of back and forth, Betsy helped me hone in on a focused narrative for my business school “why.” She’s thoughtful and thorough in getting to know your background and interests. And she’s candid about what aspects of your experience and motivations are impactful to include, and what may not be as impactful as you think. This candid guidance was incredibly helpful for me and saved me time from overthinking. Betsy’s strengths (as I experienced them) are in her essay guidance more so than project management of your application process. My week leading up to deadlines was stressful, so just set expectations for timelines up front if you need that project management support. Above all, I felt that my time with Betsy will be valuable to me beyond this application process since it often felt more like career coaching than application support; she truly cares about her students beyond just the applications. I’m more focused now in how to articulate my goals for the next few years and thrilled to be pursuing them at HBS. I have recommended Betsy to close friends and would recommend to anyone reading this too!

I cannot recommend Betsy highly enough. I am so pleased with my results and can’t wait to head to Tuck as a member of the Class of 2027 with a substantial financial award package. As someone from a “non-traditional” background, it was really important to me to find an admissions consultant who understood my career path and saw it as an asset. I spoke with 5–10 consultants before landing on Betsy—we clicked quickly, and I trusted her to have my best interests in mind. She always made me feel like my story was interesting and would be exciting to admissions committees, which in turn gave me confidence in my applications. With Betsy, I feel we formed a genuine friendship and connection, based on things beyond MBA admissions, such as lifestyle interests and values. I think that helped us capture my true essence in the application process. All that to say: I HIGHLY recommend Betsy. I know we will stay in touch throughout my MBA journey and beyond.

I came in with an unconventional, zigzagging story and no clear idea of how to stitch it together. From the first conversation, I felt Betsy was on my side and understood me. Betsy wasn’t just my own consultant— she helped me manage my mom (who was stressed thru it all but trusted Betsy’s expert opinion), became part of my support system, and made the whole journey way less stressful (and even fun!). I’m so grateful for her guidance, humor, and heart through it all. Def can say we are good friends through it all. She often makes connections for you with incoming classmates, too, which is a bonus! Strongly recommend. TLDR: 1) She seriously knows her stuff 2) Time with her is productive AND fun 3) She produces major results

Kept the meeting on track!

Dr. Khan strategized with me even before the medical school application started, and her advice proved to be invaluable. She pushed me outside of my comfort zone to take action on many of my ideas, and because of her, I had tangible results not only to talk about in my application but also to be proud of their successes. It turns out I needed only a little push! I cannot thank Dr. Khan enough for constantly expecting more from me and my written application. She provided constant edits on my application that helped fine-tune my written responses to be compelling and concise. Sometimes we are too close to our own stories, so it was incredibly helpful to have a more objective partner as part of the application process.
