I started working with Jesse on my Cambridge Judge MBA application with very little time left before the submission deadline. I chose him as my MBA admissions counselor after reading some online testimonials. At that time, my GMAT and IELTS weren’t competitive, so Jesse suggested I give them another try, so I resumed my preparation for the first time in a year. I found Jesse to be thorough, a very encouraging and positive person, and he really helped me with the content of my application and also my motivation. I was a bit worried about my speaking ability in English, but he was able to understand my intentions and guide me well, even with my poor English, so it actually helped me grow (and it helped me prepare for the interview). In the initial stages, Jesse and I focused on self-analysis, and then I drafted a concise answer ('Roadmap') to guide the final application content. After only two weeks of intensive sessions, I had solidified my vague reasons for wanting to go to CJBS, my career goals, and my strengths and weaknesses. Since Judge is the only school with R2 in October and it is also my first choice, I decided to focus on them first (if I failed, I planned to apply to other schools with deadlines at the beginning of the year). At Jesse's recommendation, I interviewed several current students and alumni. I also had many discussions with the admissions department. For the essay questions, they were basically standard, so I had to figure out which of the topics I had prepared with Jesse to apply to each section. In addition to the four main questions about career goals, there were many questions about past work experience, achievements, challenges, and English usage history, and those took quite a bit of time. After I wrote the first drafts, we went back and forth until they were perfected. Amazingly, I made the R2 October deadline! When it came to the interview, I needed a little help because I was able to get to know myself so deeply in our work before submitting the application. I felt I could answer whatever question I might be asked. I confidently recommend Jesse to everyone desiring to get into their dream school. My journey with Jesse enhanced my understanding of myself and made the preparation process much easier, more interesting and fulfilling. I couldn't thank Jesse enough!
