The session gave a clear overview on what is expected in the WMM essay. Ben showed us different examples that were unique in their way.

I am just so grateful to have gotten to know Victoria/Vica. I was in the final stages of my application when I was recommended to meet Vica. She quickly made me realize the depth I needed to dive and the heights I needed to climb to tell my story, channeled in ways that could relate to the readers. Vica was relatable and extremely conscious of what I needed which made it a lot of fun for me working with her. From the first get-go, I felt I had Vica on my team and that she was focused on my success. I felt I could easily trust her - her remarks were genuine and this was so valuable for me, to take in feedback and implement it even with days before the application. Vica has a strong sense of storytelling, and she brings with her degree in literature to articulate the story clearly and powerfully. Vica was also very generous with her feedback and very thoughtful about what I needed in my journey. I felt humbled by the effort she put in, jumping on calls despite being sick, taking in my draft with 4 other calls, and how much she was able to share and give me her reasoning behind the way she thought. This helped me see the light of my application. If I had to go for a war I would definitely have Vica on my side. She made me change my narrative to something that was authentic to me, helped me build up the sense of what I wanted to tell, and also made me feel encouraged throughout the whole process. I felt I had someone who believed in me throughout the process and I am so thankful for that. To be honest I insisted on taking more time with her just because of the value talking to her and the insights I felt she brought. Vica is truly incredible and I strongly recommend Vica if you ever get an opportunity to work with her! I know will be looking for all the opportunities that life brings to work with her.

Fantastic session with Ben on GSB's WMM. Learned a great deal about critiquing a successful essay, including a deep dive into the true meaning of 'show, don't tell' in an essay context, exploring different writing styles, and ensuring continuity and cohesion in the narrative without abrupt transitions. Also examined examples ranging from essays that encapsulate an entire life saga to those that focus on a single vivid anecdote while keeping the reader engaged.

As one of my initial pieces towards my MBA application process, Ben provided extremely detailed insights during his class on what people usually (or at least me) struggle with the most: essays! I came out of the class a bit refreshed and with lots of ideas. Highly recommend!

I reached out to Erik a few days to application deadlines. At that point, I was demoralized by my GMAT score and was also struggling with communicating my experiences, motivations and goals. Erik was very supportive and encouraging. He helped me see and communicate my values, perspectives and strengths, which I had previously taken for granted. He has a broad and global view and understood my background and the context of my work experiences. Through probing questions and insightful comments, he helped me tell my story. Erik has a keen attention to detail. He was able to identify defining moments from my experiences from our conversations. He helped me communicate my experiences, values, and goals via compelling essays. He also helped me rework my resume to a standard MBA resume that clearly showed my achievements. Despite the holiday season, he was very responsive and available to address my questions while providing constant encouragement that helped me push through. He gave me more time than I had paid for, and with his support, I was able to submit strong applications to my dream schools. His genuine commitment to my success and optimism were evident throughout the process. Regardless of the outcome, working with Erik has enabled me to gain deeper insights into my motivations and to see value in my experiences and perspectives. i mainly worked on Stanford package with Victoria. I spent 2 hours to finish the majority of what matters essay and why stanford. and then spent another 2 hours for other essays (like short answer essay) and check the application profile. She does a good job at making essay more cohesive, contributing ideas on why gsb. Victoria provided a discount to book her with 2 courses together. The price is extremely good considering the content and quality she provided!

i booked 2 coaching sessions with Dallin. One for guidance on my HBS essay what's more, and one for my wharton package (mainly reapplicant essay, but also use the remaining time to review two main essays.) i would say Dallin is quite helpful. He helped me create a vivid narrative connecting dots to tell my story. And he is quite efficient. Also, i am from China. i suggested that we used zoom since it could provide CC (caption) which would be easier for me to follow. I did not feel pressure when I talked about my stories with him.

I accidentally stumbled upon Cian's profile on Leland and it was a very happy accident! Cian is kind and more than that, he wants you to achieve the goals you have for yourself more than you do. He wants you to succeed. Stellar coach and very meticulous with essays. Couldn't recommend enough.

Roberto is one of those incredible and really natural coaches who gets to the core right off the bat. I loved how he was able to help me figure out what I actually wanted through coaching by laying it out for me. I also am immensely grateful to Roberto for really bringing in a perspective that was very unique to my application. He helped me take a step back and have a lens to look at my weaknesses nourish them and lean into my strengths. I loved how he is truly supportive and wants you to succeed. I felt I had Roberto on my team and his thoughtfulness was a crucial part of my application. Roberto was generous with his advice and also went out of his way to share some of his own personal experiences to help me as I was framing my narrative. I definitely am happy to have gotten to know and work with Roberto and will continue to do so and I highly recommend him on your applications and career trajectories.
