Stephen was a huge help in making me feel confident entering the medical school admissions cycle! I really appreciated his emphasis on helping me present my best self rather than appealing to what a school may or may not want. His advice and expertise helped me to effectively frame and communicate my story to medical school admissions committees, both on paper and in interviews, and feel confident in what I submitted. While the cycle is not over yet, I have received admission to three schools, and I truly believe that Stephen's advice and expertise helped me to reach this point. There were so many parts of the admissions cycle that I was unaware of entering the cycle, and Stephen's knowledge having worked on an admissions committee helped me to navigate some of these more hidden or unknown parts- such as interview thank you notes and letters of interest. I highly recommend working with Stephen whether you feel like you may be missing something from your application, or if you are (like me) having difficulty figuring out how to tell your story eloquently through each piece of the application.

Stephen helped me a ton with my BS/MD applications. Coming in, I was very confused about what BS/MDs were looking for and was paired previously with a counselor that was somewhat inactive. After switching to Stephen, the application process became a lot easier. Often times in counseling, the path to success is somewhat nebulous, but Stephen’s straight forward approach allowed me to understand exactly what I needed to do to best maximize my chances of admission. He was prompt and thorough when it came to essay edits and especially helpful when it came to finding both a narrative and coinciding activities. It was specifically because of the narrative and activities help that I got into my dream school, and although I eventually decided against the BS/MD path, his advice and edits was still crucial for my CommonApp.

Stephen has been an invaluable support throughout my medical school application journey. When I first began the cycle, I felt overwhelmed by the process, but Stephen helped me navigate it with clarity and confidence. From refining my AMCAS activity descriptions to strengthening my personal statement and secondary essays, his feedback consistently made my writing more compelling and precise. I especially appreciated his realistic and straightforward approach, which broke down a daunting process into manageable steps. He is always only a text or call away, and promptly answers any questions I send his way. Thanks to his guidance, I feel far more informed and prepared in my applications, and I am very grateful for his help!

I wanted to thank you SO incredibly much for all your help throughout the admissions process! I am beyond grateful for your essay edits, suggestions, and support. I wanted to let you know that I got into UCLA, UC Berkeley (with regents!!!), USC (yay!), Georgetown, UVA, Williams, Princeton, Columbia, UPenn, Brown, and Dartmouth. I also got waitlisted at Yale and Harvard (which I take as a win LOL). Thank you again so much for your dedication to us. I cannot thank you enough for everything! I hope you have a great rest of your day and thank you again.

I cannot believe it but I got accepted into the University of Chicago. QNUEFQIUENFNQ!!! I’m honestly having a hard time believing this is reality right now and I can’t put into words my gratitude. From my undergraduate application cycle, I remember using a counseling/editing service and it was miles behind what you did for my essays. Thank you so much for teaching me what it takes to put my ideas and thoughts into personal, introspective, and well-structured essays. You’ve really opened a lot of doors for me, and I hope to accomplish at UChicago exactly what I outlined in my essays. In the future, when my little sister applies for colleges I hope you are still advising students as I know she will be in very capable hands being guided by you. Best of luck in future seasons.

I started working with my counselor in November of my junior year. During the second semester of my junior year and the summer before junior year, she helped me craft a unique story fit to my experiences, values, and goals. She was always readily available throughout the process for general advice and specific feedback on essays. I am grateful to have received acceptances from a number of incredible universities. I cannot thank my admissions counselor enough for her guidance and support throughout this process!

I have officially committed to Stanford! I wanted to thank you once again for everything you helped me with for college. (My parents say thank you too!) I truly don’t think I would have reached my highest potential and gotten as many offers from so many schools without your help. You helped me articulate my ideas and present myself to the best of my abilities, and for that I am eternally grateful. Thank you for being such an amazing coach! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I just was accepted to Columbia as a Creative Writing major! It is such a big deal in my family, as not only am I first generation, but I will be the first among my siblings to carve out a pathway that will inspire my younger brother and sister to follow in my steps. I can’t wait to pass on some of the advice that you provided me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your constant support and many thoughtful edits on my essays.
