Jake's approach for tutoring works because he focuses on meeting students where they are with their own understanding rather than pushing an overwhelming amount of new jargon to explain the test. He uses touchstones like the five paragraph essay, topic sentences, or algebra that we are all familiar with from our own schooling in order to explain the seemingly foreign LSAT. In doing so, the test seems more accessible and far less daunting. This is not just another course full of buzzwords to put on flashcards; Jake is a teacher first and will work to make sure you have the knowledge and understanding necessary to conquer the LSAT.

I cannot speak highly enough of Jake’s LSAT tutoring practice. Before reaching out, I had already been studying for an entire year…and candidly, was on the verge of giving up. After 3 months of his tutoring, I scored a 157 [a 14-point increase]. I have now been officially accepted into my top law school choice; with an 85% scholarship! What I once thought was unlikely has now become one of the success stories you read about.

I've learned more from 5 hours with Jacob than the previous 7 months of studying for the LSAT. He gets right to the point teaching you how to tackle the logic on this test. The other materials I've used feel gimmicky compared to his methods. They may put tools in your hand, but Jacob actually teaches you how to use them and effectively so. He's also fun to work with.

So far in my tutoring process, Mr. Feldman has been extremely helpful in distilling concepts, and breaking down difficult LSAT questions. He has a lot of knowledge and experience with the test, which has really helped to bridge the gaps in my knowledge and given me the tools to improve my scores by a significant margin. In addition to being a tutor, he has also served as a mentor through this difficult and often stressful process, helping me determine the appropriate course of study and providing resources for additional help. On top of all of this more pragmatic evidence, Mr. Feldman creates a very inviting learning environment, and has helped to motivate me and to get me excited about this rather daunting process.

I am honestly EXCITED to keep studying...This plan is exactly the structure that I needed to study. And not some cookie cutter thing that was supposed to work for others. It's like you tuned in to how I study and made it fit! It’s amazing! Thank you so so so much!!!

Jacob Feldman is amazing. I have never sat with a tutor that approaches things the same way he does. I came to him 10 days before the April 2021 flex test. I had gotten a diagnostic score of 148 in January and had done a book and an online course but needed it all fine tuned and brought together. Jacob didn’t try to sell me on a single thing. He felt me out to see where I was in my headspace and was able to give me pointers and tips to help me based on where I was. There was no condescension, no making me feel stupid. In fact, Jacob propped me up more than anyone outside of my wife. After meeting with Jacob for a single consultation and 3 open office hours, I was able to obtain a 171 on the April 2021 LSAT Flex. If I had to do this all over again, I wish I had started with Jacob from the beginning because I believe in him, his system and all his knowledge. Perhaps I would have gotten closer to a 180 had I been willing to go with a tutor from the start.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Andrew as my GRE tutor, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. In the last month of studying, I was looking for a tutor to really fine tune my mistakes and boost my confidence; working with Andrew was the game-changer I needed. About me: We worked together for 4 sessions (I was 1 month out from taking the test). I was mostly self-taught using Manhattan materials and the ETS official guide prior to working with Andrew, had all the concepts down. Took ~12 practice tests, consistently scoring 158V, 159Q range (I wanted 320+ on the GRE). After working with Andrew I scored 157V, 168Q (Note: we mostly targeted math, I didn't care about verbal score much) About Andrew: From the very beginning, Andrew's expertise and supportive teaching style stood out, making a significant difference in my test preparation. Andrew was well versed on concepts frequently tested on the exam so he made a point to focus on those questions first and tailor our sessions to what weaknesses of mine I needed to strengthen. He provided invaluable insights and strategies that I wouldn't have known/learned on my own. Plus, he taught me a few critical tricks that I was able to apply to some questions I saw on the real thing. His explanations were clear and thorough, helping me grasp complex concepts with ease. Andrew's encouragement and positive attitude gave me the confidence boost I needed as I headed into the GRE and I was impressed by how easily he could recall any example question that came from my Manhattan or official ETS materials (I probably saw 2.5k+ questions). Andrew also had good suggestions on which materials I should use and how to prioritize my schedule. He was very familiar with how Manhattan materials would phrase a question versus what I would actually see on the official test (his experience here was very helpful).
