It doesn’t get any better than Michael for Calculus and Statistics classes. Michael has tutored me for 3 semesters (Calculus I and Statistics I and II. If only I found him earlier my first semester, I would have all As.

When I was preparing for the TOEFL to apply to the University of California, San Diego, I had the privilege of learning from Laine. Her experience and structured approach made all the difference in my preparation. She teaches in a clear, coherent, and engaging way, making complex topics easy to grasp. Her practical tips and strategies, especially for time management and structured responses, helped me feel confident on test day. I highly recommend Laine to anyone looking for an effective and insightful TOEFL preparation.

UPDATE: I got into my top choice business school with a full-tuition scholarship (University of Virginia Darden School of Business), thanks to Matthew's help! I’m working with Matthew to prepare to take the GRE and he’s been great! He’s provided his own material to help me as well as mixing in the test prep materials that I have already bought and official resources from the GRE, making sure to focus on the topics that I am having trouble with and regularly going over material to make sure that I really understand it before he moves on. I feel like I will be prepared for my test with his help.

Taught me tricks to memorize hard vocabs. Friendly and patient and understanding. Broke down hard questions into smaller segments and the way he taught was helpful in sentence structures.

Matthew teaches with a very calm and precise manner. I really appreciated his organization and readiness to dive into teaching without wasting a second on anything that didn't matter. He breaks down the complexities of the GRE with great strategies for studying and learning. If you need a top notch tutor, he's the one.

Matthew shared some great strategies in our first session. These strategies will be key in securing points in sections of the GRE I am already strong on but could use a few more points. Matthew's knowledge on the GRE is very clear as he asked great guiding questions which he will be using to tailor a lesson plan for our later sessions. I look forward to exploring these new strategies in future sessions.

Matthew was an excellent tutor. I had taken the GRE once before and needed to significantly improve my scores for the program I was applying to. Matthew and I focused primarily on the mathematics portion as math is not my strong suit. He helped me to see problems in a completely different way and to be confident in my answers. He was very motivating and kept me accountable with homework assignments which was very helpful. After tutoring with Matthew, I took the GRE again and increased my overall score by 8 points!! I went from being in the 13th percentile to the 39th percentile in the quantitative portion!! I was very happy with my decision to have Matthew as a tutor. He was intelligent, patient, his teaching methods were effective and he wasn’t bad to look at either!!

Matthew was very responsive and was able to meet with me on short notice. He helped answer all of GRE questions and helped me focus on the most important aspects of the test. Matthew also suggested resources to help my problem areas.

Matthew is patient & understanding, he has very helpful strategies to deal with the exam. Easy going with scheduling session & session with him is great. I recommend.

Matthew was a big help in practicing for the GRE especially the Quantitative section We went over practice problems and strategies for the GRE. He is very knowledgeable about mathematics. Also we went over some verbal GRE. If you are looking for a GRE tutor, I would recommend!
