Gordon was great at helping me figure out a career pivot as I was early career. He really takes the time to figure out what your interests are but more importantly asks the right questions to figure out what wouldn’t be a match. Julie did a great job listening and helping me dig deeper into what I really wanted to do with myself. We revamped my LinkedIn (which likely needs it again, haha) and gave me some critical things to think about and ask when I was interviewing my employers- key to that- interviewing them, not just subjecting myself to their judgement alone. This helped me be able to let ME set MY value as a PERSON that wants to be part of an organization. No one is just number. We are all important and deserve to be happy, which causes us to truly thrive, in our work. Sereena is an amazing mentor! We met via WSO PE prep. Our first interaction was through a CV review exercise, where Sereena went above and beyond, asking me questions that further highlighted my deal experience. She made sure that I mentioned the experience that is most relevant to my candidacy and that I list out all the numbers to quantify my impact. I then scheduled multiple mock interviews with her, going through PE case studies. Her sessions are very structured, always starting with me presenting, followed by feedback & what to work on next time. She gave constructive feedback about the story, the thesis, presentation style, and what questions an interviewer would ask. What sets her apart to me, that makes me come back, is how she takes note of my learning progress. If I make the same mistake, she would remind me. If I get better every time, she would make sure I know of it. This is hard to come by as people typically consider paid mentorship as a one-time event instead of a recurring relationship-building interaction. Punch-line: Sereena is a dedicated, personable mentor!

Working with Ruthie during my law school admissions journey was one of the smartest decisions I made. Her advice was not only strategic and informed, but also deeply personalized to my goals, voice, and story. From the beginning, she helped me to identify which supplemental essays were truly worth investing time in, and more importantly, how to make them stand out in a crowded field of applicants. When I found myself waitlisted at several schools, her guidance around letters of continued interest was invaluable. She showed me how to craft compelling, targeted letters that reflected both enthusiasm and substance, and she helped me time their submission for maximum impact. Perhaps the most meaningful part of our work together was revising my personal statement. I originally approached this part of my application trying to write what I thought admissions officers wanted to hear. Ruthie helped me shift that mindset. With her input, I was able to tell my story in my own way—authentically and effectively. She never tried to rewrite my voice; instead, she helped me clarify it. Beyond her technical expertise, Ruthie has a rare ability to make a stressful process feel manageable. She’s sharp, responsive, and empathetic. I always felt like she was in my corner. I can’t recommend her highly enough to anyone navigating the law school admissions process. Her insight and support made a real difference in my outcome, and in how I felt throughout the journey.

I've been lucky to have worked with (and for) Meg in a variety of settings since 2006. She's not just one of the smartest and funniest people in my life.
