Irene is seriously one of the most helpful and kind people I’ve ever talked to. She’s super easy to open up to and genuinely wants to support you. What I love most is how transparent she is—she shares everything she knows without holding back. From her time as a software engineer at Google to becoming a PM at Microsoft, she walked me through her exact thought process and steps she took to make that switch. It was so inspiring and incredibly helpful. On top of that, she’s doing all these amazing side projects and also works as a life coach—which honestly shows in the way she listens and understands where you’re coming from. She really gets what you need and helps you figure out what’s next. And she's always so warm and thoughtful (plus she always has the nicest smile!).

Working with George was truly transformative for my graduate school journey. Coming from a non-business background—government major at Georgetown, a Fulbright in Germany where I became fluent in German, and later working at a large trade association in Washington covering international affairs—I was unsure whether to pursue a master’s in public policy or pivot toward business with an MBA. George’s support didn’t stop at the written components—he also helped me prepare thoroughly for interviews, ensuring I could speak fluidly about my goals, experiences, and why a dual degree made sense for me. Thanks in large part to his guidance, I was accepted into the Tuck-HKS joint degree program, which is the perfect fit for my aspirations. I now feel fully equipped to pursue a career at the nexus of global policy and business, and I couldn’t be more grateful for George’s partnership throughout the journey.

Seeing the before and after of different people in our ONG after being coached and mentored by Edgar is the ultimate proof of his mastery in the subject. Amber and I met at Northwestern Kellogg, and she’s been one of my closest friends since.
